The SeGo Story

Principal and owner of SeGo Aerospace, Kevin Connelly, was a college student and bartender  when one of his regular bar customers presented an opportunity which would change his life forever. A first-ever college internship at Sargent Aerospace turned into a 25-year career specializing in aerospace aftermarket. 


Within just a few years, Kevin had steered Sargent Aerospace through its first aerospace aftermarket acquisition  and  was traveling extensively throughout North America and Europe developing key relationships with airlines, other OEMs, sales reps and aftermarket repair stations. During his ten years with Sargent, he aligned industry partnerships and was the key driver in setting up multiple OEM Authorized repair centers and distributors.  


Kevin joined Parker Aerospace as a Director of Business Development leading the sales organization for the Large Air frame division. Due to his aftermarket experience, he was quickly named as the company's Aftermarket Product Specialist. Kevin continued expanding his network and understanding of the global aerospace market with significant travel throughout Southeast Asia, Korea and Japan.


Three years into his career at Parker, he was named General Manager and moved to Singapore to run operations for the Parker - Singapore Airlines Engineering Company Joint Venture  located at Changi Airport. Kevin spent 4 years in this role, optimizing operations and driving profitable growth.  During this time, he completed the joint NUS UCLA MBA program and graduated with dual MBAs in 2010.   

   

After eight years at Parker, Kevin re-joined Sargent as Vice President/General Manager of their Miami-based aftermarket acquisition, Avborne Accessory Group. In just a few years, Kevin accomplished a complete financial turn-around of the business, doubling revenue and driving profitable growth to  exceed 15% EBITA.

In 2014, SeGo Aerospace was created.  Named after the world-renown marketeer, -Seth Godin, the company name is pronounced "Say Go".  SeGo began  with the idea of connecting its global network of sales channels with independently owned FAA repair stations and inventory management companies.  While industry connections have always been at the core of SeGo's business model, we also work with private equity to identify repair stations acquisitions, prepare businesses for sale, engine leasing, inventory management and provide strategic leadership consulting for large and small aerospace aftermarket businesses.
